Global Campus Photography Competition

The Photographers of the Year Competition is your chance to get your photo published in the Global Campus Photographers of the Year calendar.

You will have the opportunity to have your work seen by people around the world! Our friends at UNICEF are looking for great photographs that they can use to help people learn about the Global Goals, which means that there’s a chance your entry will be exhibited globally!

For this year’s competition, we’re asking you to pick a theme that best represents what Goal 16 means to you:

  • Strong Institutions: Family & Friendship
  • Justice: Leadership & Fairness
  • Peace: Safety & Calmness

How to Get Started:

  • Step 1: Think about how these themes are represented in your community.
  • Step 2: Once you’ve chosen a theme, think about how you can capture it visually.
  • Step 3: Plan and practice your shots. You can visit the Composition Course page to help you with your photography skills!
  • Step 4: Share your practice photographs with others!

We want to capture what these themes mean to students around the world.

Visit your theme’s wall to share your practice shots. Remember to come back often to see what others have posted throughout the summer!

How to Enter:

Submit your photo and description to your teacher by Monday, 29 October. If you don’t give it to your teacher, it can’t be entered into the competition!

Photography Competition Rules:

  1. You may only enter one photo
  2. The photo must be your own work
  3. If the photograph is of a person, you must ask their permission to use their picture in the competition
  4. Do not use a filter on your photograph
