Once in a while an innovation takes place that changes everything. The wheel, the printing press, the electric light, the car, vaccines, the telephone, the aeroplane. As if from nowhere, conjured up by brilliant minds, these innovations seem to fly us into the future, quite literally.
Here at the British International School Shanghai, we have taken inspiration from innovative and creative minds to launch our own flight into the future of learning, and we are inviting you to join us on 19th April to celebrate the opening of our secondary STEAM facility, the Hamilton Centre, named after one of the most innovative female scientists of the last century, NASA and MIT’s software engineer, Margaret Hamilton.
Presentations from myself and other key senior leaders at school and demonstrations of the intricacies of each part of the Hamilton Centre by students and staff, accompanied by a lavish complementary banquet with sparkling drinks, will offer the perfect celebration of a wonderful year of innovative expansion of the British International School Shanghai, with the opening of the primary Da Vinci Centre in August and now the unrivaled secondary Hamilton Centre. I do look forward to greeting you all on April 19th to mark this wonderful moment of innovation in your child’s learning experiences offered here at BISS, as together, we fly into the future.
